June is Men’s Health Month

June is Men’s Health Month, and it’s a great time to focus on something that often gets pushed to the bottom of the to-do list – your health.

Whether it’s for yourself or for the men you care about, Men’s Health Month is a reminder that regular check-ins with a primary care provider matter. A yearly wellness visit isn’t just about checking boxes. It’s a chance to ask questions, stay on top of screenings, and catch potential problems early, when they’re often easier to treat.

Primary Care Visits – What to Expect

At an annual visit, your provider will:
  • Review your medical history
  • Talk through any health concerns
  • Look at things like
  • Blood pressure
  • Cholesterol
  • Weight
  • Lifestyle habits
It's also a good time to review your vaccination status and make sure you're up to date.

The Importance of Prevention and Management

Many health conditions that impact men, like heart disease, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and certain cancers, can be prevented or managed with the right care and lifestyle choices.

That’s why we also talk about what’s happening between appointments:
  • Staying active
  • Eating well
  • Managing stress
  • Knowing when to slow down
