Once you’ve launched the app, select Care New England from the list of healthcare providers. 3. With this change, new rules will take effect regarding parental/guardian proxy access to adolescent health information. ## **What You Need to Know** | **Age Group** | **Proxy Access Policy** | | --- | --- | | **Under 12** | Parent/guardian permitted full access | | **13-15** | Parent/guardian access will automatically shift to limited access (regardless of previous full access). **Parent and Adolescent may: ** - Jointly consent to grant full proxy access to both parent and adolescent | | **16-17** | Parent/guardian access will automatically shift to limited access (regardless of previous full access). **Adolescents may: ** - Consent to grant full proxy access to parents - Enroll in their own MyChart account without parental consent | *** *******These rules will apply automatically within MyChart starting October 4, 2025.**** ## **Why This Matters** - Promotes adolescent confidentiality and trust. - Ensures compliance with state and federal privacy laws. - Empowers teens to participate in their own healthcare while allowing parental involvement when appropriate. ## Need to Find a Doctor?
