Kent Hospital Visitation Guidelines

Visitation restrictions at Kent Hospital:

 

Kent Hospital has made the following changes to our visitation policy effective September 29, 2023.

If you have a fever, flu-like symptoms, other symptoms of infection, or a known exposure to others with infectious illness, we encourage you to delay coming into the hospital until your symptoms resolve.

  • Visiting hours are currently 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m
    • We encourage visitors to come in small groups to maintain a calm and therapeutic care environment for all patients.
  • Women’s Care Unit: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m
    • 4 visitors, aged 14 and older. Siblings may visit accompanied by an adult.

  • Intensive Care Unit/Progressive Unit (PRG): 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. & 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.  
    • 2 immediate family members, no visitors under the age of 14 years

  • Cath Lab: 1 visitor may accompany a patient in the pre-and post-procedural areas where presence will not disrupt patient care.
  • Surgical Services: 1 visitor may accompany patient in the pre-procedural areas where presence will not disrupt patient care.
  • Emergency Department: 1 visitor and/or support person at bedside with limitations.

Visitation privileges are granted without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, age physical or mental ability, language, religion, pregnancy, citizenship, marital or prenatal status or veteran’s status.
