Oversees dietary personnel in the preparation of food and service, ensuring that highest standards are maintained for food service quality to patients or customers. Responsible for ensuring that food served meets physicians' orders and that departmental policies are practiced consistently. Performs diet office clerical duties and other job-related duties as required or requested.
Two-year (post secondary) degree in food/nutrition or equivalent on-the-job training with a demonstrated willingness to obtain additional knowledge in the field. Must be able to effectively supervise, direct, coordinate and communicate with all dietary personnel. Must be able to issue instructions concisely and interact effectively with other members of the hospital team.
