Peer Recovery Support Specialist, Per Diem

Lived experience with addiction to alcohol and/or other drugs who provides one-to-one strengths-based support to peers in recovery, empowering them to make healthier choices on a day-to-day basis. Locate, track and provide services to individuals who are in need of support for their drug and alcohol use. Facilitate recovery support groups in both group settings and individual sessions, including risk assessment and goal setting. Provide referrals including but not limited to detox, food/clothing, housing, medication-assisted treatment, residential programs and counseling. Advocating for the needs of each individual. Caseload management including all necessary documentation.
1. High school diploma or GED, Associates/ Bachelor’s degree a plus. 2. Certificate or willingness to work towards becoming a State Certified Peer Recovery Specialist. 3. Two years of continuous recovery time. 4. Must demonstrate an understanding in the recovery process and Recovery Oriented Systems of Care model. 5. Valid driver’s license and insured auto. 6. Must be computer literate with experience in Excel.
