Job Description
The Simulation Services Manager is responsible for maintaining the daily operations of the Simulation Program. Responsibilities include coordinating multidisciplinary obstetrics, gynecologic, neonatal and healthcare team simulations, maintaining inventory, demonstrating equipment use, designing simulation projects and evaluations, developing department procedures; managing the program budget, tracking utilization, and supporting the Simulation Program research activities. The Simulation Services Manager provides direct supervision of program support staff and volunteer interns; acts as a resource for outreach to the community for planning and interfacing with simulation programs among facilities seeking support; and collaborates across CNE Operating Units to develop and implement programs across Care New England This position ensures the efficient, effective and safe operation of varied simulation experiences for nursing and medical students, hospital staff from many disciplines and works collaboratively with faculty and clinicians.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in health care related field required; Master's degree preferred, and 3 to 5 years of experience in a health care setting. Experience working with medical and healthcare faculty to develop and evaluate instructional programs preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, and disease processes desirable. Experience in training standardized patient simulators and employing electronic mannequins and simulation equipment for educational uses or equivalent desirable. Must have excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Strong working knowledge of computer programs for word processing, spreadsheet manipulation, and presentation required. Data base management and query skills strongly desired.
