Personal: I live in Providence with my two cats. In my free time, I play volleyball and compete in beach tournaments. I'm originally from California and was recruited by the University of Rhode Island to play on its volleyball team.
Education: I earned my bachelor's degree in nursing at the University of Rhode Island. When I was exploring majors, I followed my interest in the sciences and found that nursing would allow me to combine theory and hands-on practice. Now I'm working on my master's degree in business administration at Bryant University.

My Work: My job as Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager is a new position. My goal is to improve the admission process and to be a central resource for my patients their families, and staff for help, information, and education. My work includes managing staff, doing some admissions and assessments, and participating in some group programs.
Best About My Job: What I like best is that the position is similar to that of a staff nurse, but also gives me a leadership role.
Best About Butler Hospital: What I like best about working at Butler Hospital is the teamwork on all of the units. I've worked here for three years as a staff nurse on most of the units at one time or another, and have experienced how closely my co-workers work together in the spirit of providing excellent patient care. We bring out the best in each other. I also like working at a teaching hospital because there are so many opportunities to learn on-site, through case conferences, studies, and grand rounds.
