Working together, members of the Comprehensive Concussion Center team evaluate and treat people with concussions within days of the injury. The goal is to allow the brain to heal, manage the impact of concussion on daily life, and prevent re-injury.

David Bica, DO, CAQ

David Bica, DO, CAQ, is a board-certified family physician with a certificate of added qualification in sports medicine. He specializes in primary care sports medicine focusing on both medical illness as well as injury. Dr. Bica graduated from Providence College and then earned his osteopathic medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Sports Medicine. He went on to complete his family medicine residency and sports medicine fellowship at East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine in Greenville North Carolina.

Janet Grace, PhD

Janet Grace, PhD, is a clinical neuropsychologist. She graduated from Wellesley College and earned her PhD at Cornell University. She taught at University of New Hampshire before pursuing a career in clinical psychology. She completed her clinical training at Temple University and Brown Medical School. She has been the director of Rehabilitation Neuropsychology at Memorial Hospital for more than 25 years where she specializes in stroke rehabilitation.

Dr. Manning graduated from Williams College and then earned his medical degree at the Penn State College of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency in family medicine at Brown University. After residency Dr. Manning completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at the University of Massachusetts.

Amity Rubeor, DO

Amity Rubeor, DO, is a board-certified family medicine practitioner who is completing a fellowship in primary care sports medicine with Affinity Sports Medicine. She earned her medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed a residency through Alpert Medical School at Memorial Hospital. At Memorial, she lead the Musculoskeletal Clinic and served as co-director of its Sports Concussion Program. She also completed a fellowship in osteopathic manipulative medicine and anatomy at the University of New England, and a faculty development fellowship in sports medicine and obstetrics at Lancaster General Hospital.

Lisa A. Uebelacker, PhD

Lisa A. Uebelacker, PhD, is an experienced research psychologist in the Psychosocial Research Department at Butler Hospital and an associate professor of psychiatry and human behavior for the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Uebelacker’s research interests center around developing and testing innovative psychosocial methods for treating depression, including collaborative treatment for depression and co-morbid health conditions in primary care.
