Job Description
The Diagnostic Services Coordinator performs diagnostic ultrasound studies and related duties, demonstrating expertise and good judgment in carrying out the procedures. The incumbent assesses the ultrasound findings and assists the radiologist and staff physicians in interpreting the studies. Collaborates with physicians to establish sonography standards and protocols, maintains associated records for ultrasound studies, and coordinates quality assurance activities, including cleaning and maintenance of equipment. Assists with administrative functions, such as supervising and scheduling, and performs other job-related duties as required.*ZR
Required Education
High School graduate with completion of a one- or two-year Ultrasound program or certified training course, followed by certification examination. Registry with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required. Must be competent in scanning pregnant women in the first, second and third trimester, including targeted fetal anatomic surveys (Level II Scans). Good interpersonal skills, and ability to accurately relate technical information essential. Must be proficient in the English language.
