Work on a multidisciplinary team providing behavioral health and crisis assessment to consumers at The Center, as well as in the Hospital Emergency Department setting, and in the community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform a comprehensive psychosocial assessment of assigned consumers.
-Treat consumers with respect.
-Perform in a calm and professional manner during crisis or emergency situations.
-Apply knowledge of Psychiatric Diagnosis (DSM V).
-Perform and record mental status examination.
-Assess clinical emergencies, including suicide and danger to others.
-Collect pertinent data from appropriate collateral sources in accordance with confidentiality guidelines.
-Maintain confidentiality in accordance with Center policy and legal requirements.
-Develop and present, verbally and in writing, a clear clinical formulation based on behavioral data and relevant theory while incorporating psychosocial and family issues.
-Use psychiatric consultation and intervention when clinically appropriate.
-Use knowledge to decide appropriate levels of care in order to refer to various points in the continuum of care.
Masters degree in Social Work or related field or Registered Nurse (RN). License and/or QMHP Preferred.
Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with consumers, community agencies and Center employees.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Insured auto and valid driver's license. RN, LICSW and/or LMHC preferred but not required. QMHP Preferred.
