Job Description
Carrying out data collection for research studies as assigned by his/her supervisor. Collects data by review of medical records, interviews, or other means.Following study protocols regarding patient care issues. Helps to establish system for tracking and scheduling subject follow-up appointments and maintains the system.Conducts follow-up interviews with research subjects and significant others.Performs coding, entry, and verification of data collected.Provides progress reports on the project, including recruitment and follow-ups to his/her supervisor.Performs general office duties including typing and photocopying.Collects and reviews scientific articles. Enters references into database. Prepares slides, graphs and visual presentations for scientific conferences.Collects saliva, urine, breath samples and vital signs from research subjects. The ideal candidate is a people person, with excellent interpersonal skills, an ability to solve problems, enjoys working on challenging projects that require critical thinking skills, can handle a multitude of tasks, and an interest in finding a treatment for Alzheimer’s disease.
Required Education
Education: Bachelors degree in Psychology or related field Training and Experience: Demonstrated interpersonal competence; ability to work cooperatively with clinical staff. Ability to multi-task and data management experience preferred. Possesses good interpersonal & communication skills. Basic writing skills. Excellent organization skills. Willingness to learn new applications.  Experience with clinical trials and/or industry sponsored research preferred.
