Job Description
The project manager manages one or more concurrent information services projects within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost to deliver specified requirements to meet the satisfaction of project stakeholders. Using industry standard project management methodology and tools, the project manager ensures that all projects are properly defined, planned and executed by developing and receiving executive sponsor and/or stakeholder approval for all project related deliverables. The accountability for the day to day operational aspects of multiple projects, as well as all strategic project decisions, and the development of project documentation is essential. The Project Manager proactively assists in identifying project dependencies and conflicts and provides leadership and guidance to project teams and performs other duties as required.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in computer information systems or related field and a minimum of six to eight years experience in an information technology/project management environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have excellent interpersonal, written and oral presentation skills, ability to interact with and manage members of cross-functional teams, and possess strong organizational skills. Knowledge and experience in project management lifecycle is a must. Health care background required, preferably in a hospital or ambulatory practice setting. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
