Job Description
The Patient Safety and Performance Improvement Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of organizational performance improvement related to Patient Safety. Collaborates with Risk Management to perform comprehensive systematic analysis of near miss and medical events. Identifies root-cause of medical errors, and designs system initiatives that minimize the likelihood of future recurrence.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in nursing, health care administration, business administration, or health related field required. Master preferred. A minimum of three to five years of related healthcare experience and proven abilities in project management and change management. Demonstrated analytical and mathematical skills. Black Belt Certification highly desirable. Must have knowledge of performance improvement systems and previous experience with leading performance improvement initiatives, involvement with Six Sigma, or similar methodology. Excellent written andoral communication skills, and the ability to make effective presentations to diverse groups. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively lead, and engage key stakeholders, staff, and external partners. Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software required.
