Job Description
The Research Diagnostic Services Coordinator performs research related diagnostic magnetic resonance scanning procedures for assigned patients for studies and demonstrates expertise and good judgment in carrying out the procedures. The incumbent assesses the images and assists the investigators in obtaining research related images. Serves as a research technologist for advisement, training, and implementation of new procedures. The provision of services includes assessing patients, developing plan for accomplishing procedure(s) ordered, setting up room and equipment to accomplish procedure, and insuring quality images. Performs related duties as required. Individuals will be required to assist with administrative functions, such as scheduling, transferring images, storage of images, completion of study related forms.
Required Education
Associates Degree in Applied Science or Graduate of an Accredited Program in Radiography with completion of AMA approved magnetic resonance scanning training school required. Registration through the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. Must have and maintain current licensure as a radiographer in the State of Rhode Island. Must be familiar with equipment needed to perform examinations. Good interpersonal skills, and ability to accurately relate technical information essential. Must be proficient in the English language. Must be a team player with some flexibility in scheduling.
