The Brown Center for the Study of Children at Risk welcomes a clinical psychologist with a focus on autism and developmental disabilities in early childhood. The position has a mix of clinical, research and training activities, and the balance between these activities would depend on the applicant’s background, interests and qualifications. Clinical responsibilities would include outpatient evaluations and treatment in the early childhood period. Depending on qualifications, there is the potential for a faculty appointment at either the Instructor of Assistant Professor level at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. The Brown Center for the Study of Children at Risk is a unique clinical research unit of Brown Medical School and Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island. The center has a varied portfolio of clinical and research programs focused on a range of populations including but not limited to autism spectrum disorders (i.e., an autism/DD early diagnostic clinic, infant mental health and early childhood outpatient therapies, infant colic, prenatal substance exposures).
