Recovery Support Specialist, Per Diem - CSU

Responsible for the provision of residential Acute Crisis Stabilization Unit (ASU) services, consumer care, monitoring facility and activities during assigned shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist RN’s, clinicians with unit/milieu protocol.
Provide safe, therapeutic environment with every 9 hour consumer checks.
Assist with admissions and discharges.*Specific response
Provides orientation to newly admitted consumers.
Assist nursing staff with vital signs, implementing emergency procedures when needed.
Access clients for WD treatment per CIWA/COWS
Assist with meals, serving and clean-up.
Assist consumer with Activities of Daily Living as needed.
Facilitate community meetings and groups
Maintain all required CSU specific training/certifications including; CPI, CPR/first aid.
Assist in training of new Recovery Support Specialist
Assist in new client admissions.
Review rules and regulations, issue linens, assign bedrooms, sign appropriate releases, gather birth certificates and social security cards, etc.
Perform a variety of services.
-Assist with the supervision of AA/NA meetings.
-Maintain an inventory of linens / with laundering as needed.
-Conduct toxicology testing for all clients as instructed by Program Manager.
-Administer breathalyzer test and collect urine for drug screens, physical search.
-Complete clothing list
Ensure a safe, clean and healthy living environment.
Perform record keeping in accordance with Health Information Services and other Center requirements.
-Complete daily activity logs.
-Monitor confidentiality in accordance with Center policy and legal requirements.
-Complete required reports and evaluations.
-Follow required office procedures in a cooperative manner.
-Initiate and process incident reports as per Center guidelines.
-Adhere to Infection Control protocols.
Attend trainings, case presentations and conferences.
-Provide feedback to staff on the content of educational programs attended.
-Attend mandatory in-service trainings and other trainings required.
